I am so excited to begin my journey as a teacher at Ryan Elementary with my very first fourth-grade class! It is truly an honor to welcome your child into my classroom, and I cannot wait to get to know each of my students and support their growth and success throughout the year.

My name is Lian Melumad, and I recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with degrees in Elementary Education and Business. I am also currently pursuing a master’s degree in Special Education. Working with children has always been my passion, and I feel incredibly grateful to be starting my teaching career within such a welcoming school community.

A little about me: I grew up in New Jersey before moving to Colorado for college. Outside the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching hockey and basketball, and dancing. Dance has been a significant part of my life, and I now have the opportunity to teach dance in Lafayette as well!

As a first-year teacher, I am committed to creating a classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. My goal is to build a positive classroom community where students are excited to learn, embrace new challenges, ask questions, and understand that mistakes are an important part of the learning process. I value open communication and hope you will always feel comfortable reaching out with questions, concerns, or celebrations throughout the year.
