A pun is a comical and clever play on words. Normally, it is a word in a phrase that is very slightly changed to have a double meaning. For example, our slogan:
It's all in good Pun.
Normally, the expression would be "It's all in good fun," but changing the "f" in "fun" to a "p" changes the word into "pun". The expression is sounds almost identical, but the last word has a double meaning.
Well, sceptical and slightly confused reader, a pun is a type of joke. It should be a natural instinct to either laugh or groan when you hear the double meaning. Some people giggle, some people groan, and some people just don't have a reaction. Its all just a careful chemistry of timing and context (if you caught the pun, you don't need to be reading this!)
Yep.
Well...sort of. OK, not really.
I know it seems reasonable. The ability to make puns could make people treat you like a god, much like how many people treat Mandy Lieng (the resident pun expert). But you will not gain godly powers like walking on water or interfering with people's destinies. Saying a clever phrase can sadly not grant such powers.
