Schedule for Class
Students in Beginning Orchestra are split into two classes.
Students in Beginning Orchestra are split into two classes.
Cellos meet on A weeks (shown in red on the calendar) every three weeks.

Violins and Violas meet on C weeks (shown in green on the calendar) every three weeks.

Both classes have two concerts each year in December and May

Both concerts begin at 6 pm with a 5:15 call time for a rehearsal before the concert.

Students need to wear a nice, white shirt and black bottoms.

Supplies Needed
It is NOT recommended to purchase an instrument during the first few years. The two big reasons are 1) a purchased instrument does not come with an option for accident insurance and 2) you will get a MUCH high quality instrument if renting.
- Shoulder rest (Violin and Viola students only)
- Endpin stopper (Cello students only)
- 1-2 Pencils (store in instrument case or binder)
- 1/2" 3-ring binder OR folder for holding music
- Rosin--> comes with rental
OPTIONAL: Get a great tuner that also has a metronome built-in here.
