Trick Words are high frequency words that we would like your child to be able to READ and SPELL by the end of first grade. These words don't follow typical spelling patterns so the only way to learn them is through repetition, practice, and memorization. These lists of words will be reviewed and the lists will increase with new words each year. Here are the lists for each grade level.
