Meet the Teachers

Alexis Diamond: My name is Alexis Diamond and I am originally from Chicago.  I grew up ski racing which led me to Colorado. I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a BA in Psychology and then continued my education at CU to receive an MA in Elementary Education.  I taught first and second grade for 10 years in Mapleton Public Schools and this is my 9th year teaching in BVSD. I love the magic and excitement of first grade and love to see what each day will bring.  I could not be more excited to be teaching first grade again this year at Douglass! I live in Lafayette with my 2 wonderful children, Kylie and Ryder, who are both Douglass Dolphin alumni. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, baking, traveling, and being outside.  I look forward to getting to know all of you and creating a wonderful first grade experience for your children!
