My passion is cultivate maximum creative potential in all students through visual art.
I know what it’s like to be on this roller coaster ride with many decisions to make and no clear answers. But that is the beauty of art!
I am so excited to be your art teacher because art is the best subject. You may think I’m biased, but art is cross- curricular-there are elements of math, science, language, history, engineering, language arts, all of it. It makes you a well-rounded person.
But more than that, art makes us better people. Art reminds us that we are not alone and that we share a universal human experience. Through art, we feel deep emotions together and are able to process experiences, find connections, and create impact. Art helps us to record and process more than just individual experiences.
Being vulnerable and embracing "mistakes" is what helps you progress. Expect to be put in unusual situations, being asked to do "odd" things, and basically, reframe what art is to you. But the best thing is that Art is a Verb...We "DO"...we create every day!
