• Students are starting a heroes unit with guest teacher, Francisco Torres from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Students will learn about injustices that everyday heroes have faced and continue to face. Our end goal is for students to take action on an injustice that they are passionate about and want to take a stand on and/or change.

Students are reading text from diverse authors and learning about why it’s important to read text from a variety of authors.
