About

My name is Kelly Asselin or "Coach Asselin" and this is my seventh year at Louisville Middle.

Born a super competitive child, I lived to participate on various sport teams. In high school I played volleyball, swam, and ran track. It was track that led me to the University of Northern Colorado. While at UNC, I competed in the heptathlon (women's equivalent to the decathlon). In 2011, I received my Bachelor's degree in Sport and Exercise Science with an emphasis in Physical Education K-12. In 2018, I obtained a Master's Degree in Health and Wellness Education. I spent my first five years teaching high school P.E./health in Colorado Springs (at the high school I once attended) before relocating to the Boulder Valley area.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy coaching (volleyball, soccer, and track), reading, riding my cruiser bike, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with my kids, friends, and family. I love everything pink and/or tie dye.
