Meet Your HS Counselor

The Boulder Universal counseling department is modeled after the American School Counselor Association standards for career, academic and personal/social development which are delivered through Connect in grades 6-8 and through Advisory in grades 9-12.  I work closely with students to help them identify their strengths and create pathways that will help them pursue their aspirations through their Individual Career and Academic Plans (ICAP).

All content is delivered to students through Advisory and individual meetings.

I am from Colorado and the Boulder area.  I LOVE the sunshine and that we get to enjoy four seasons here!  I am currently in my 16th year as a counselor with BVSD and I think that this is the greatest job out there.  I didn't always know that I wanted to work in Education, but through a series of chance and circumstance I was fortunate to discover that this my true passion. I believe that all students are capable of creating and achieving their own unique goals.  You can do anything you want to do as long as you put your mind to it! I am excited to begin this school year and to continue working as a counselor with Boulder Universal. In my personal life I love pottery, cooking, sewing, creating and being with my family. I have an amazing husband of 21 years and we have two children, Kian (15), and Violet (13).  Love my life.  Love my work.
