Empathy & Skills for learning

4th graders start the Fall semester learning about listening, respect, being assertive, different perspectives, starting conversations, learning how to join in, and showing compassion to others. For the 2020 school year we will be helping student learn how to use these skills in an online environment.

November/December

Students will continue learning about Empathy for the rest of the semester. Topics we'll be covering include understanding complex feelings and different perspectives, conversations and inviting others to join in, and showing compassion. These skills help us resolve conflicts and make others feel welcome in our classroom and in our school.
