Request To See The Counselor

How Can My Student Request to See The Counselor?

If your student would like to meet with the counselor, they can ask their teacher or fill out a Counselor Request Form (this form can be found on my office door for all students in 2nd-5th grade) .  Otherwise, please email me at montana.hatlen@bvsd.org so that we can connect about how I can best support your child. 

Please know that meetings with the counselor will happen only during school hours at the next available time in the counselor's schedule. If your child ever has a problem or safety concern that requires immediate action while at school, they should talk with their teacher or come to the front office to report the concern instead of filling out the form. Counselor request forms will not be checked outside of school hours.  

If there is a mental health or safety concern outside of school hours, make sure to contact appropriate resources that can respond immediately (police, Safe2tell, Mental Health Crisis Line:1-844-493-TALK).
