Dr Bhagyasree B. currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages (English) at Bishop Vayalil Memorial Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal. Alongside her academic duties, she holds a key administrative position as the Coordinator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), where she plays a pivotal role in academic planning, quality benchmarking, and institutional policy implementation.
Academic and Professional Journey
Dr Bhagyasree’s academic journey reflects a deep and consistent engagement with English Language and Literature. She pursued her undergraduate degree in English at Alphonsa College, Pala, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University. Continuing in the same stream, she completed her postgraduate studies at St. Thomas College, Pala, and further earned her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from the same institution under MG University. Her doctoral research and broader academic interests lie in the intersection of gender, caste, performativity and media representations.
She is also qualified with the National Eligibility Test (NET) in English, having cleared it twice in 2014 (June and December sessions).
Professionally, Dr. Bhagyasree began her teaching career at BVM Holy Cross College in 2014, where she initially served until 2016. She also worked as a Government Guest Lecturer at St. Albert’s College (Autonomous), Ernakulam in 2020–21 before rejoining BVM Holy Cross College in 2021, where she currently continues her academic and administrative contributions.

Organized an International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Education at BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal, in collaboration with S-VYASA Deemed-to-be University, Bengaluru (February 2025).
Chaired a session at the same International Conference (2025) on Revolutionizing Education: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching, Learning, Evaluation, and Research.
Conducted and Coordinated multiple Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs), including a major FDP on Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
Presented a paper on Gender and Sexuality: A Cross-Cultural Literary Perspective at an International Conference (June 2024) organized by K.E. College, Mannanam, in collaboration with the Centre for Latin American Studies, University of Kerala.
