Assistant Professor
I am responsible for delivering quality classroom instruction, preparing lesson plans, and staying updated with current developments in social work theory and practice. I guide students in their academic growth through lectures, seminars, and assignments while also engaging in continuous professional development. I evaluate student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their learning. Beyond teaching, I contribute to the academic and administrative functioning of the department.
Women Cell Co-ordinator
As the Women Cell Co-ordinator, I work to create a safe, respectful, and gender-sensitive environment within the college campus. I organize awareness programs, workshops, and events on gender equality, women's rights, and related social issues. I serve as a point of contact for addressing concerns or grievances related to gender-based issues, ensuring they are handled with sensitivity and confidentiality. I collaborate with college authorities and student representatives to strengthen policies that promote women's safety and empowerment.
ESWA (Emerging Social Workers Association) Incharge
As the In-charge of ESWA, the departmental association, I oversee the planning and execution of academic, co-curricular, and extension activities that foster leadership, creativity, and professional growth among social work students. I guide the student office-bearers in organizing events such as seminars, workshops, cultural programs, and social awareness campaigns that align with the values and objectives of the social work profession. I ensure smooth coordination between students and faculty in conducting association activities, while also mentoring students in event management, teamwork, and responsible decision-making.
Class Tutor, S1 BSW
As the Class Tutor for the S1 BSW class, I serve as the primary point of contact for students during their initial transition into the program, helping them adjust academically and socially. I monitor students' attendance, academic progress, and overall well-being, addressing any concerns early on. I guide them in understanding course requirements, college policies, and available support systems. I maintain open communication with students and, when necessary, coordinate with other faculty or the administration to support their success.
Fieldwork Practicum In-charge, S3 BSW
As the Fieldwork Practicum In-charge for the S3 BSW class, I coordinate and supervise students' field placements to ensure they gain meaningful, hands-on social work experience. I liaise with partner agencies and organizations to secure appropriate placements aligned with the curriculum's learning objectives. I monitor student progress through regular field visits, supervision sessions, and review of fieldwork records, offering guidance whenever needed. I also evaluate students' fieldwork performance and ensure their practicum experience meets academic and professional standards.
