Diya Maria Cristo is an accomplished academic and dedicated educator, currently serving as Assistant Professor at BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal. In addition to her primary teaching responsibilities, Diya actively enriches campus life through her roles as URJKIRAN Club Coordinator, fostering student engagement and extracurricular activities; Staff Secretary, contributing to the administrative functioning and staff welfare; and Alumni Coordinator within the Department of Social Work, where she strengthens connections between current students and alumni.

Diya holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal (2024), having distinguished herself by qualifying the prestigious UGC NET examination in the same year. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from Alphonsa College, Pala (2022), providing her with a robust foundation in scientific inquiry and research methodologies.
