National Seminar "Futuristic Higher Education Institutions" : Mr. Abhijith U participated in the National Seminar on “Futuristic Higher Education Institutions” organized by the IQAC of BVM Holy Cross College on March 27 and 28, 2026. Vijnana Keralam Skill Connect 2026 : Mr. Abhijith U participated in Vijnana Keralam Skill Connect 2026, an officially authorized initiative of the Government of Kerala under the Vijnana Keralam Project, organized by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) at Mahatma Gandhi University. The programme focused on enhancing employability, skill development, innovation, and industry-academic collaboration among students and professionals.
The event provided valuable opportunities for interaction with experts, academicians, and industry representatives, enabling participants to gain insights into emerging career trends, professional competencies, and future-oriented skill development initiatives. Annual Academic Retreat 2025- 2026 :Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Annual Academic Retreat 2025–2026 organized by the IQAC of BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal, Pala. The programme served as an academic platform for faculty development, collaborative learning, and institutional growth through discussions on academic excellence, quality enhancement, and professional development initiatives.

National Conference AGNEYA 2020: During his Post Graduation at St. Gregorios College of Social Sciences, Mr. Abhijith U served as a member of the organizing committee for the One Day National Conference AGNEYA 2020, conducted on the theme “Suicide Prevention Among Youth.” As part of the organizing team, he actively contributed to the planning, coordination, and successful execution of the conference.
The programme provided an important academic platform for discussions on youth mental health, suicide prevention strategies, psychosocial interventions, and the role of social work professionals in promoting mental well-being. Mr. Abhijith U’s involvement in the conference reflected his interest and commitment towards mental health awareness and community-oriented social work practice.

Psychosocial care Programme by NIMHANS Bengaluru: Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Psychosocial Care Programme carried out by National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, among the flood-affected victims in Kerala. The programme focused on providing psychosocial support, emotional care, and mental health assistance to individuals and communities affected by the flood disaster.
Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U was actively involved in community-based psychosocial interventions aimed at supporting the emotional well-being and resilience of affected individuals. The experience provided valuable exposure to disaster response, mental health support services, and community rehabilitation practices within crisis situations.
His involvement in the programme reflects his commitment towards humanitarian service, mental health care, and community-oriented social work practice, while also strengthening his practical skills in psychosocial intervention and disaster management support.
Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Training Programme for Counsellors organized by the Social Justice Department of Kerala in July 2023. The programme focused on enhancing professional counselling skills, psychosocial intervention techniques, and effective approaches in mental health and welfare services.

Participated in the National conference BHARATHION 2019 - Mr. Abhijith U participated in the National Conference BHARATHION 2019 – For the Nation, conducted on the theme “Green Social Work: Emerging Trends and Prospects.” The conference served as an academic platform for discussions on environmental sustainability, eco-social perspectives, and the evolving role of social work in addressing environmental and community-related challenges.
