This section highlights the seminars, conferences, and professional events I have attended or participated in. These experiences have contributed significantly to my academic growth, industry knowledge, and skill development. By actively engaging in these events, I have had the opportunity to stay updated with the latest trends, network with professionals, and expand my practical understanding of key topics in my field. 

•  National Seminar "Futuristic Higher Education Institutions"  : Mr. Abhijith U participated in the National Seminar on “Futuristic Higher Education Institutions” organized by the IQAC of BVM Holy Cross College on March 27 and 28, 2026. The seminar served as an important academic platform for exploring emerging trends, innovations, and transformative practices in the field of higher education.

The programme brought together educators, researchers, academicians, and professionals from diverse disciplines to discuss the future of educational institutions in the context of technological advancement, digital transformation, quality enhancement, and student-centered learning. Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U engaged in academic discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions related to contemporary developments in higher education.

Participation in the seminar contributed significantly to Mr. Abhijith U’s academic exposure, professional development, and research-oriented growth, while also enhancing his understanding of evolving educational practices and institutional transformation in higher education.

•  Vijnana Keralam Skill Connect 2026 : Mr. Abhijith U participated in Vijnana Keralam Skill Connect 2026, an officially authorized initiative of the Government of Kerala under the Vijnana Keralam Project, organized by Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) at Mahatma Gandhi University. The programme focused on enhancing employability, skill development, innovation, and industry-academic collaboration among students and professionals.

The event provided valuable opportunities for interaction with experts, academicians, and industry representatives, enabling participants to gain insights into emerging career trends, professional competencies, and future-oriented skill development initiatives. Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U actively engaged in discussions and learning experiences related to innovation, career readiness, and professional advancement.

Participation in the programme enriched Mr. Abhijith U’s professional knowledge and strengthened his understanding of innovative educational approaches, employability enhancement strategies, and contemporary career development practices.

•  Annual Academic Retreat 2025- 2026 :Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Annual Academic Retreat 2025–2026 organized by the IQAC of BVM Holy Cross College, Cherpunkal, Pala. The programme served as an academic platform for faculty development, collaborative learning, and institutional growth through discussions on academic excellence, quality enhancement, and professional development initiatives.

Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U engaged in academic interactions and knowledge-sharing sessions that contributed to his professional enrichment and strengthened his commitment towards quality teaching, research, and higher education practices.

•   National Conference AGNEYA 2020: During his Post Graduation at St. Gregorios College of Social Sciences, Mr. Abhijith U served as a member of the organizing committee for the One Day National Conference AGNEYA 2020, conducted on the theme “Suicide Prevention Among Youth.” As part of the organizing team, he actively contributed to the planning, coordination, and successful execution of the conference.

The programme provided an important academic platform for discussions on youth mental health, suicide prevention strategies, psychosocial interventions, and the role of social work professionals in promoting mental well-being. Mr. Abhijith U’s involvement in the conference reflected his interest and commitment towards mental health awareness and community-oriented social work practice.

Participation in the organizing committee further enhanced his organizational, communication, and teamwork skills while strengthening his academic exposure to contemporary mental health issues and professional event coordination.

•  Psychosocial care Programme by NIMHANS Bengaluru: Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Psychosocial Care Programme carried out by National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, among the flood-affected victims in Kerala. The programme focused on providing psychosocial support, emotional care, and mental health assistance to individuals and communities affected by the flood disaster.

Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U was actively involved in community-based psychosocial interventions aimed at supporting the emotional well-being and resilience of affected individuals. The experience provided valuable exposure to disaster response, mental health support services, and community rehabilitation practices within crisis situations.

His involvement in the programme reflects his commitment towards humanitarian service, mental health care, and community-oriented social work practice, while also strengthening his practical skills in psychosocial intervention and disaster management support.

• Mr. Abhijith U participated in the Training Programme for Counsellors organized by the Social Justice Department of Kerala in July 2023. The programme focused on enhancing professional counselling skills, psychosocial intervention techniques, and effective approaches in mental health and welfare services.

Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U gained valuable exposure to contemporary counselling practices, professional ethics, communication strategies, and support mechanisms for individuals facing psychosocial challenges. The training also provided opportunities for professional learning and interaction with experts and practitioners in the field.

Participation in the programme further strengthened Mr. Abhijith U’s competencies in counselling, mental health support, and community-oriented social work practice, contributing to his professional development and service-oriented approach in the field of social work.

•  Participated in the National conference BHARATHION 2019 - Mr. Abhijith U participated in the National Conference BHARATHION 2019 – For the Nation, conducted on the theme “Green Social Work: Emerging Trends and Prospects.” The conference served as an academic platform for discussions on environmental sustainability, eco-social perspectives, and the evolving role of social work in addressing environmental and community-related challenges.

Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U engaged in academic sessions and knowledge-sharing discussions related to sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and emerging trends in social work practice. The programme provided valuable insights into the integration of environmental concerns within the field of social work and community development.

Participation in the conference contributed to Mr. Abhijith U’s academic enrichment and broadened his understanding of contemporary approaches and future prospects in green social work and sustainable community practices.

•  Participated in the SAMANWAYA(2019&2020) Organized by BCM College, Kottayam: Mr. Abhijith U participated in SAMANWAYA 2019 and 2020 organized by BCM College, Kottayam. The programme provided an academic and interactive platform for students and professionals to engage in discussions, collaborative learning, and activities related to social work, community development, and professional growth.

Through his participation, Mr. Abhijith U actively engaged in various academic and skill-oriented sessions that contributed to his professional exposure and interdisciplinary learning. The programme also offered opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and understanding contemporary issues and practices within the field of social work and higher education.

Participation in SAMANWAYA further enhanced Mr. Abhijith U’s academic involvement, communication skills, and professional development while strengthening his commitment towards continuous learning and community-oriented social work practice.
