Since May 2025, Mr. Abhijith U has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at BVM Holy Cross College. From October 2023 to March 2025, Mr. Abhijith U served as a Lecturer in the Department of Social Work at Shree Vidhyadhi Raja College under University of Kerala. During this period, he was actively involved in teaching, student mentoring, academic guidance, and coordinating various departmental activities related to social work education.

From October 2021 to August 2023, Mr. Abhijith U served as an Orphanage Control Board Counsellor at the Social Justice Office, Alappuzha. In this role, he provided counselling and psychosocial support to children and individuals associated with care institutions functioning under the Orphanage Control Board.

His responsibilities included conducting counselling sessions, supporting emotional and behavioural well-being, coordinating with institutional authorities, and promoting child welfare and protection measures. Mr. Abhijith U was also actively involved in addressing psychosocial concerns, facilitating rehabilitation-oriented support, and ensuring the effective implementation of welfare and care practices within institutional settings.

From November 2020 to June 2021, Mr. Abhijith U worked as a Community Relation Officer at Alpha Palliative Care. During this period, he was actively involved in community outreach activities, patient support services, and coordinating communication between the organization, patients, and their families.
