Dear Junior High Families,

Thank you to all the parents who joined us last night for the Washington D.C./Historical Studies Tour parent meeting. We had a great turn out and many are excited to be part of this amazing trip! If you were unable to attend, stop by the office to pick up a packet of information. Or you can mail me and let me know you would like a packet sent home with your child.

There is still time to take advantage of the $250 early sign-up discount. That deadline is Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. Please note that the full $250 discount will not appear on your account for a few days, for now the discount will show as $150. WorldStrides will update the full discount soon.

JUNIOR HIGH (6-8th Grade) SPRING SPORT SEASON:

JH Wrestling: Start Date February 9, 3:15 in BVCS MPR, open to 6-8th grade boys. Contact Coach Stubbert with questions at scotts@bvg.org

JH Softball: Tryout Start Date March 9, 3:15 at BVCS Church Softball Field, open to 6-8th grade girls. Contact Coach Booth with questions at krtmstr@yahoo.com

JH Softball Open Clinic: Before tryouts, come out for softball open clinics with Coach Booth! Open to all 6-8th girls at no charge - February 20 & 27, 3:15-5:00.

JH Boys Volleyball: Tryout Start Date March 9, 3:15

JH Baseball: Notice: BVC Junior High will not be offering a JH baseball team for the 2025–2026 season.

Students interested in playing Junior High baseball this spring are encouraged to contact the Athletic Office for information about local league opportunities or with any questions.

JH Boys Volleyball & Softball Parent Meeting: March 9, tentatively 5:15. Get the details of each sport and understand the commitment needed to be a part of the team.

JH Track & Field will not be offered this school year.

To tryout for a BVCS sports team you must complete the homecampus.com clearance registration. A current sport physical from a physician must be uploaded at homecampus.com. Plan ahead so you can complete this before the sport start date. This must be done each school year.

This is your last chance to purchase a Junior High Yearbook for the 2025-2026 school year!

Distribution details:
8th Graders will receive their yearbooks at the 8th Grade Banquet. Date TBD
7th Graders will receive theirs during 7th period the day after.

8th Grade Ads are a special way to honor your child with a personal message, photos, and encouragement as they prepare for the next chapter. If you would like your student featured, all ads must be purchased and submitted by February 4.

Ad Cost: Full page- $200; Half page- $150; Quarter page- $100
