Dear BVCS Families,

As we move further into the spring semester, we want to pause and reflect on what a meaningful season this has been for our school community.

Over the past several months, we have walked through important leadership decisions with prayer, thoughtfulness, and unity. We are incredibly grateful for God’s clear provision in bringing our new Superintendent beginning the 2026–2027 school year. David O'Leary's experience and heart for Christian education give us great confidence as we look ahead.

We are experiencing stability rooted in our mission to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ. Stability grounded in alignment. Stability anchored in the faithfulness of God and what He is building in BVCS!

BVCS has always been more than a school. It is a ministry. A community. A place where students are discipled, challenged academically, and prepared to lead with character and conviction. As we enter this next chapter of leadership, we do so with excitement, clarity, and deep gratitude for the foundation that has been built over the last 51 years.

And that is exactly what we will be celebrating at this year’s Auction.

Our annual BVCS Auction is more than an event — it is a celebration of God’s faithfulness, the strength of our community, and the future He is building here. It is an opportunity to come together, to invest in our students, and to affirm that the mission of BVCS continues strong into this new season.

Dear BVCS Families,

We are so excited to share a huge update with you regarding the future leadership of Big Valley Christian School. After months of prayer, thoughtful conversation, and careful discernment, the Elder Board of Big Valley Grace Community Church and the BVCS School Board have officially voted to approve the hiring of our next Superintendent, Mr. David O’Leary. This decision was made with great care and a deep commitment to our mission, our students, and our community. We are confident in God’s faithfulness throughout this process and encouraged by the leadership ahead!

Mr. O’Leary and his wife, Therese, are active members of Big Valley Grace Community Church. David currently teaches Bible at BVCS High School and brings decades of experience in education along with a deep passion for mentoring students in their faith. With advanced degrees in Educational Administration, Business Administration, and Apologetics, he is well equipped to lead us with a Christ-centered vision and both organizational and educational strength. Known as a steady, relational leader and lifelong learner, David’s heart for students and staff aligns deeply with the mission and future of Big Valley Christian School. We will be providing opportunities in the coming months for you to meet Mr. O’Leary as he steps into his role as our full-time, on campus Superintendent, beginning the 2026–2027 school year.
