Dear BVCS Families,
Welcome back! We hope your Christmas break was filled with rest, joy, and meaningful time together. As we step into the second half of the school year, we do so with gratitude...for our students, our families, and the incredible community God continues to build at Big Valley Christian School.
This season is full of moments that remind us why BVCS is such a special place. Homecoming is January 16, and we look forward to celebrating school spirit, tradition, and community together. Events like Homecoming highlight what makes BVCS different—a Christ-centered environment where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow in every way.
Junior Varsity Boys Basketball vs Bret Harte starts at 4:30 pm in the BVCS Gym
Varsity Girls Basketball vs Bret Harte starts at 5:45 pm in the BVCS Gym
Homecoming Court directly after the end of the Varsity Girls Basketball game
Varsity Boys Basketball vs Bret Harte starts at 7:15 pm in the BVCS Gym
Looking ahead, re-enrollment opens January 20, with a priority registration window from January 20–February 6. This early window allows current families to secure their child’s spot for the 2026–2027 school year and helps us plan well for classes, staffing, and programs. We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity. There truly is no school like BVCS, and we are honored when families choose to continue their journey with us.
We are also excited to share that our Auction IMPACT Fundraiser will take place on March 6. This event directly supports our students and programs, and it’s one of the most powerful ways our community comes together. We would love to have parents volunteer (opportunities are posted in Helper Helper) and be part of making this evening a success. Your involvement strengthens the partnership between home and school and makes a lasting impact on our students.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being such an important part of the BVCS family. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to all that God has in store for the months ahead.
Working together for Him,

Our students had so much fun imagining what Leo the Lion was up to during his Christmas vacation—and their creativity truly shines! These stories are filled with imagination, humor, and heart, and they reflect the joy of learning and storytelling at BVCS. We’re so proud of our young writers and hope you enjoy reading about Leo’s adventures as much as they enjoyed writing them. Keep dreaming, writing, and sharing your stories—we can’t wait to see what you create next! 🦁✍️
