Dear BVCS Families,
Thank you for partnering with the ministry of Big Valley Christian School. We are grateful for the way our community continues to live out our mission to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ.
We hope you’ll join us tonight for Homecoming!
Tonight’s basketball games and festivities are a joyful celebration of school spirit, student culture, and community. Your presence makes a difference, and our students love seeing their families cheering them on.
As we look ahead, Re-Enrollment for the 2026–2027 school year opens January 20.
Priority registration runs from January 20 through February 6 at 9:00 p.m. During this window:
Registration fee is $170 per child
Your child’s placement is guaranteed
After February 6, the registration fee increases to $240 per child, and placement may be impacted due to strong enrollment demand. New student enrollment opens February 10.
Sibling enrollment and tuition assistance options remain available. For questions or support, please contact the school office at 209-527-3481 or visit https://bvcs.org.
It is an honor to partner with your family. We look forward to celebrating together tonight at Homecoming and continuing the journey with you in the year ahead.
We want to share a brief update on our superintendent hiring process and thank you for your continued prayers, trust, and partnership.
Our School Board continues to move through this season with intentionality, discernment, and a deep commitment to God’s leading. The Board has completed a second-round interview with the candidate currently moving through the process. This next phase includes continued prayer, conversation, and engagement with our Elder Board.
While no final decision has been made, we are encouraged by the thoughtful progress of the Board as we seek the right leader to guide Big Valley Christian School into its next chapter.
To provide clarity and reassurance, I want to invite you to watch a short video update, which shares more about where we are in the process and what to expect next.

Thank you for your grace and prayers as we steward this important responsibility together. We remain committed to our mission to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ now and into our exciting future.

Our students had so much fun imagining what Leo the Lion was up to during his Christmas vacation—and their creativity truly shines! These stories are filled with imagination, humor, and heart, and they reflect the joy of learning and storytelling at BVCS. We’re so proud of our young writers and hope you enjoy reading about Leo’s adventures as much as they enjoyed writing them. Keep dreaming, writing, and sharing your stories—we can’t wait to see what you create next! 🦁✍️
