Our goal with this part of the Friday @ 5:00 is to give you, as the parent(s), resources to have conversations about Jesus, with your family.
This week in Chapel we talked about the problem of evil in our world. One of the toughest questions for Christianity to answer is about suffering, pain and evil. However, as Sean McDowell shares, this question is difficult for everyone to answer. No matter what a persons beliefs are, we must face that there is suffering and pain in this world. The amazing truth is that in light of that pain and suffering Christianity provides true hope because of Jesus! As believers, we have hope that overcomes death because Jesus overcame death!
This weekend and the coming week, take a moment to sit down as a family and ask your children, "What do you think about all the bad things that happen in this world?" Then take a minute to discuss why is there so much good in our world? This is a great opportunity to teach our children how God is the source of good and He delights in us!
