A NOTE FROM LEADERSHIP: MAKING AN IMPACT TOGETHER

Dear BVCS Families,

One of the things I have quickly come to appreciate about Big Valley Christian School is the generosity of this community. Our families, grandparents, alumni, business partners, and friends believe deeply in the mission of BVCS: to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ.

Tuition is an important part of making that mission possible, but it does not fund everything we provide for our students. That is where the BVCS IMPACT Fund comes in. It helps fund the margin of excellence and helps further our mission.

The IMPACT Fund provides resources beyond tuition in five important areas: Academics, Innovation & Safety, Staff, Athletics & Theater Arts, and Tuition Assistance. These resources allow us to invest in excellent curriculum and teacher training, keep pace with technology and STEM education, attract and retain outstanding Christian educators, provide opportunities for students to develop their God-given gifts, and help make a BVCS education accessible to families who need financial assistance.

Throughout the year, our community has several opportunities to come together in support of the IMPACT Fund:

Golf Tournament | October 26
Our annual Golf Tournament brings together families, friends, and community partners for a great day of golf while investing in the mission of BVCS.

Preschool Ride-A-Thon & Elementary Jog-A-Thon | November
Some favorite BVCS traditions are returning! Our preschool students will participate in a Ride-A-Thon, while our elementary students will participate in a Jog-A-Thon, culminating in a Thanksgiving celebration. These events give even our youngest Lions an opportunity to participate in supporting their school while learning about generosity and giving back.

BVCS Auction | February 26
Our annual Auction is one of the biggest celebrations of the year...a night for our community to gather, enjoy time together, and generously invest in the future of BVCS.

While each event looks different, they share one purpose: advancing the mission of BVCS and investing in our students.

As I begin my first year serving as Superintendent, I’m grateful to see firsthand the many ways this community comes alongside our school. Whether you golf, sponsor a student, attend the Auction, give directly to the IMPACT Fund, pray for our school, or participate in several of these opportunities, you are partnering with us in work that reaches far beyond a single school year.

Thank you for believing in what God is doing at BVCS and for helping us continue to pursue excellence while keeping Christ at the center of everything we do. Together, we are making an IMPACT.

CELEBRATING BVCS: Celebrating BVCS: Celebrating BVCS: Homecoming Is for Everyone!

One of the things that makes BVCS special is that we are one school community—from our littlest Lions in preschool to our graduating seniors to our alumni! And there may be no better time to see that community come together than Homecoming Week, October 5–9.

As we celebrate 52 years of BVCS, there will be something for everyone! On Wednesday, October 7, we’ll welcome prospective students to campus for our Junior High & High School Preview Day, giving them a glimpse of what it means to be part of the BVCS family.

Then on Friday, October 9, our Preschool and Elementary students will join the Homecoming spirit with an Extreme Blue & Gold Dress-Up Day before the whole community comes together that evening for one of our favorite nights of the year!

From class floats and a Homecoming Royalty Court to Friday night football and plenty of Lion pride, Homecoming is a chance to celebrate our history, our students, and the PS–12 community past, current, and future that makes BVCS such a special place.

Save the date and get your blue and gold ready! A detailed Homecoming schedule is coming soon.

P.S. Our Junior High and High School Preview Day is October 7, and I’d love for our current BVCS families and students to think about someone in their lives who need to experience the BVCS difference for themselves. Maybe it’s a neighbor, a coworker, a teammate, a friend from church, or a family member who has been wondering whether there might be something different for their child. Invite them to Preview Day.

4. Join us on October 9 for our BVCS Homecoming Game and a great night of Lions football, school spirit, and community! Bring the whole family, fill the stands, and help us cheer on our Lions as we celebrate Homecoming together.

5. BVCS Golf Tournament October 26 — Join the Fun! Grab your clubs and join us for the BVCS Golf Tournament this October! Whether you’re an avid golfer or simply looking for a fun way to support our school, we’d love to have BVCS families, friends, and community members participate. Gather a foursome, invite some friends, and enjoy a great day of golf while supporting our Lions!

New! Event Pre-Registration

If you have previously checked in with your ID for a visitor badge, you are now eligible to pre-register to attend BVCS events.

How it works:

Follow link to our event registration page from the link below or on the BVCS App.
Choose the event you are planning on attending and complete the registration form
Bring ID to pick up your pre-printed badge in the office.

Pre-registration for events will open about 2 weeks prior to the event and will close 24 hours before the start of the event.

Have not scanned your ID in the office before? or Missed the event pre-registration window? You can still visit the office on the day of the event to scan in and receive a badge. If you have questions, contact the office at (209)527-3481.
