A tough, independent, and vulnerable orphan who begins the story angry, scared, and distrustful of adults. He longs for a home and family but struggles to let others in. Throughout the play, Peter grows into a brave, caring, and confident leader who inspires the other boys and develops a special connection with Molly.

MOLLY ASTER
A highly intelligent, fearless, and confident young girl who has been raised to believe she can do anything. A natural leader and apprentice Starcatcher, she is curious, passionate, and deeply devoted to her father and what she believes is right. Molly is brave enough to take risks and stand up for others, though her confidence can sometimes make her seem like a know-it-all.

BLACK STACHE
A flamboyant, dramatic, and hilariously theatrical pirate captain who desperately wants to be a “proper” villain. Notorious and intimidating, he terrorizes the seas while searching for a worthy hero to defeat. Despite his tough pirate exterior, he is surprisingly well-read, poetic, and loves the spotlight.

SMEE
Black Stache’s loyal and devoted first mate who follows his captain’s every command. More practical and level-headed than Stache, Smee often serves as the calm anchor to his captain’s wild and dramatic behavior. He is simple-minded, straightforward, and completely dedicated to Black Stache.

PRENTISS
An ambitious, outspoken, and highly articulate orphan who is determined to be the leader of the boys. Confident and logical, he loves to share his opinions and often acts like he knows best. Although he can be a bit of a blowhard—and sometimes lacks courage—his strong personality, quick wit, and comedic reactions make him stand out.

TED
A sensitive, loyal, and naturally funny orphan with a huge appetite and an easy wit. Ted loves food, uses humor and poetic language to express himself, and has a natural talent for performing. Although he often gets frustrated with Prentiss, he deeply wants friendship and companionship. He brings warmth, energy, and heart to the group.

MRS. BRUMBRAKE
Molly’s proper, no-nonsense, and hilariously dramatic British nanny. She is strong-willed, fearless, and always ready for an adventure, but still has a playful, charming, and youthful side. She has a big personality and loves a good time.

LORD LEONARD ASTER
Molly's father, a loyal subject to the Queen. The very model of a Victorian English gentleman, he is a devoted father, a faithful friend and a secret Starcatcher.

BILL SLANK
A vicious and threatening orphaned captain who is convinced he is a powerful leader, even though he can barely control anyone but himself. Darker and more intimidating than the other sailors, he still fits the exaggerated and theatrical style of the show.

GREMPKIN
The schoolmaster of St. Norbert's Orphanage for Lost Boys. Mean and malodorous, he revels in keeping his boys in the dark and malnourished.

ALF
A comic, old seadog who is far more proud of his rank of “Mister” than he should be. Confident and a little full of himself, Alf is always on the lookout for a damsel—any damsel.

CAPTAIN ROBERT FALCON SCOTT
Commander of the fastest ship in Queen Victoria’s fleet, The Wasp, Captain Scott is an old schoolmate of Lord Aster. Lives with nautical bravura and heroic patriotism.

FIGHTING PRAWN

TEACHER
