What is an Athletic Trainer?
Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) are medical professionals educated in preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that happen during an athletic event. Athletic Trainers work under the direction of a physician and are often the liaison between school administration, parents, coaches and other healthcare professionals. The American Medical Association (AMA) recommends having an athletic trainer at every high school.
About Me
I have been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2014 and a Certified Orthotic Fitter since 2019. I am excited for the opportunity to bring my knowledge of the sports medicine field and the profession of athletic training to the classroom. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, crocheting, spending time outdoors, traveling and being with my dogs, Adelle and Hermes.
