BMC uses Jostens for Caps & Gowns. Students are required to purchase the basic Cap & Gown package.
Mark Manuel will be on campus in E111 from 9:00 until 12:00 in January to assist with orders.
Anything extra is optional. The package comes with the tassel and stole. (You don't need to order the keepsake tassel.)
For the Class of 2026, the cost for the Basic package (including Cap, Gown, Tassel, and Diploma Cover) is $65.53.
Payment plans are available.
If you are graduating from WPCC, you are allowed to use your BMC cap & gown for their ceremony.

National Honor Society
National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization for high school students that promotes leadership, service, character, and scholarship. There are over one million students participating in NHS activities today, in all 50 states and territories of the United States.
The National Honor Society started in 1921 by an association of principals. It was the first honor society created across the country. Over the past 100 years, the NHS has become one of the most well-known educational and leadership groups.
The purpose of the National Honor Society is to elevate students’ and schools’ academics, leadership, and community engagement. NHS benefits students, communities, and colleges. Colleges have a way of seeing the academic and service commitment of an applicant through his or her membership.
There are four major aspects of an application that NHS admissions committees are looking for:
1. Scholarship- Students of Burke Middle School are expected to maintain a 3.5 GPA. This is the first and most important requirement for membership. Once a student has a 3.5 GPA, they will be invited to apply for membership and be examined on the following attributes.
2. Service- Community service is the second part of an NHS application. Admissions advisors are looking for a student’s commitment to serving the greater good of a community. Students can volunteer at any organization to meet this requirement.
3. Leadership- NHS applicants must be able to show leadership in order to be accepted by the society. Student leaders have highly sought after skills such as problem solving and resourcefulness. Examples of ways students can demonstrate leadership is by being team captains, being on a religious youth board, participating in student government, or taking an active role in group projects.
4. Character- Finally, students need to show their good character in an application. Good character means taking the moral high ground, being responsible, helpful, and honest. NHS students behave appropriately.
Membership in the National Honor Society requires a student to continue exhibiting the characteristics of scholarship, services, leadership, and character. Maintaining a GPA of 3.5 is the first expectation. Members are to continue taking an active role in their community as a leader and in service to others both individually and as a member of the organization. Students must also continue being of sound moral character.
If you are not a member of the National Honor Society and would like to explore the possibility, please talk with an instructor about your desire and start on the path to membership.

The theme will be decided by the Parliament members and will be announced in January.

BMC students are able to rent textbooks for select college classes for $10 per book.
Books are due back to BMC at the end of WPCC's semester.
Students who fail to return their books or return books back damaged are subject to a replacement fine

Juniors & Seniors pay a $10 activity fee each year.
Seniors also pay a $30 graduation fee.
BMC activity and graduation fees can now be paid online using My School Bucks.
WPCC Fees
WPCC Fees
Students are responsible for paying their WPCC fees each semester (usually $100 to $130 per semester).
These are due prior to the start of classes or you will be dropped from those classes.
Students can pay these on their Pioneer Pass account or at the WPCC Business Office located on the second floor of Moore Hall.

BCPS students have to opportunity to rent a Chromebook to use for the school year.
Pricing is based on how many devices your entire household will be borrowing for the year and is listed below:

Reserve your space for an ad in our yearbook! Local businesses are welcome!
Order your yearbook! Yearbooks are $45 through December 31st, $50 through February 28th, and $55 through April 2nd. There is a small service fee added if you order online. You may also order by bringing cash or check payable to BMC to Mrs. Wheeler in H203.
