Operation Santa Claus

Operation Santa Claus is run by the Burkburnett Volunteer Fire Department (VFD). Operation Santa Claus is a toy drive the VFD hosts to deliver toys to underprivileged children in our local response area. They believe every child should experience the joy of Christmas, regardless of their personal hardships.

How we can help

Our unit will donate toys that cadets bring in straight to the VFD before Christmas break. The toys that are brought in will be for children from 5-12 years old. All toys will be new, unused/boxed items. This does not mean cadets must purchase expensive toys or feel the need to buy toys at all. Undamaged, boxed toys from within a cadet's household are perfectly acceptable and strongly encouraged to be brought in for donation. 

Our goal is for each flight to have 100% participation (Each cadet in each flight bring in at least one toy). Each flight will have their own bin, decorated by cadets, to store toys. Any flight that reaches 100% participation will receive a pizza + movie party following Christmas break. 

We are extremely excited to be working with the VFD to help our community and make Christmas better for less fortunate children. Cadets - All donations are greatly appreciated. Flights that reach 70% participation (every cadet in the flight donates at least one toy) will earn a party.
