Dress Code Information

Footwear
Proper footwear must be worn at all times. House slippers are not considered proper footwear. For PE, tennis shoes or athletic type shoes are the expectation.
Shorts, dresses and skirts
Length must meet the finger-tip length rule (the finger-tip length means garments extend beyond the longest finger-tip all the way around the person) They must be long enough to meet this requirement at all times.
No biking shorts, cut-offs, or boxer shorts are allowed.
Dresses or skirts must comply with the finger-tip rule.
Form fitting garments such as leggings, jeggings, yoga or other athletic pants must be covered by a garment of normal length that covers the midriff and does not show any skin, even if arms are raised.
Shirts
Tube tops, bare midriff or half shirts, crop tops that allow skin to show, halter type blouses, mesh shirts or leggings, string tops, or see-through clothing will not be permitted.
Sleeveless shirts and traditional tank tops are permitted for girls (not including razor back tops or sportswear) as long as an undershirt is worn or the shirt is tight fitting under the arms. Undergarments, including sports bras, must not be visible at any time.
Miscellaneous
Clothing, accessories, jewelry, or tattoos with lettering, symbols or decorations that detract from the learning process or illustrate or promote inappropriate activities will not be permitted.
No clothing with spikes or chains.
Only head coverings related to religious exemptions may be worn in the building.
Clothing with holes above the fingertip length (front or back) is not permitted.
Hairstyles and unnatural colors that, in the judgment of the school administration, cause a disruption of the educational environment are not allowed.
No fishnet hose/tights, no torn tights, torn hose, or torn leggings.
Face masks are optional as determined by the wearer. The district may alter this standard due to an executive order.
