I have been blessed with the opportunity to live out all of my career dreams. I have been a teacher, a published author, newspaper columnist and features writer, communications consultant for some of California's best-known brands and even an on-camera video series host. Outside of teaching, I have more than ten years’ experience working for large nonprofits, corporations, and multimedia publishers and production studios. In my roles, I have done marketing, communications, and public relations, as well as health education, quality improvement, and operations improvement. I continue to do freelance communications and have a graphic design business.

AYSO Coach!
JBHS Mom x2
Dog Mom
My three sons have grown up in Burbank school while participating in AYSO soccer and Burbank Parks and Rec baseball teams that my husband and I have managed and/or coached along the way.
In my free time, I love to travel, go to Disneyland, and watch Gilmore Girls on a loop. I may or may not love coffee, Dr. Pepper, and BBQ chips a little too much. Graphic design and writing are my creative outlets.
While I respect everyone's right to privacy, if your student has personal, behavioral, or academic issues, please feel free to reach out and let me know! The more background I have on a student, the better I can make accommodations for their learning.
I have the general rule that I must know a student for at least half a school year before I will write a letter of recommendation on their behalf. This allows me to write something that is sincere and truly speaks to their character and performance. If your student "connected" with me as a freshman and they think they may want to a letter from me later on, I highly recommend that they stay in touch with me throughout high school so that I can accurately write about them their junior or senior year.
I answer emails during the school day between 8am and 3pm. Please understand with almost 200 students and many papers to grade, lessons to plan, and meetings to attend, it may take me more than one school day to respond to your email. I appreciate your patience.
I am available to meet with students during Academic Excellence.
Parents interested in speaking with me on the phone should email me to schedule a time to speak. This time is generally during my second-period conference period.
