This August 14, 2023 marks the opening of not only a new semester, but also the beginning of Academic Year 2023-2024—a new chapter of hope and progress for the BulSU community. In light of the foregoing, the Guidance and Counseling Services Center (GCSC) - Main Campus, as part of its major services—the Information Service, welcomes students, from freshmen up to seniors, as well as faculty and non-academic personnel of the University, in its ‘welcome booth’ setup at the BulSU Heroes’ Park.

Dr. Anna Liza E. Mercado, the Head of the GCSC - Main Campus, together with its staff, led the launch of the said activity. Various goodies such as candies, biscuits, as well as informative leaflets and other paraphernalia, were generously distributed to those who visited the booth. Games were also conducted, facilitated by guidance advocates, wherein the students enjoyed the prizes they got during their participation. A photobooth was also set to let the students, in groups or even in solo, show their smiles and lighten up as they will traverse another year of journey in their college life. The ‘welcome booth’ setup lasted three (3) days, from August 16-18, 2023.
