Each year, we look for students who have the abilities to perform and succeed in a hands-on classroom where students explore scientific concepts through experiment and investigation. We do all sorts of things: we tromp through forests, work hands on with engineers, get real world experience in a laboratory and design boats, robots, cars, rockets, and all sorts of other things. In other words, we work hard, learn a lot, and have lots of fun doing it! The recruitment process runs through phases and at each phase we get to learn more about each student, seeing if are a good fit for the program. Students who are interested should attend the open house, apply online, and start collecting two letters of recommendations from teachers and staff in their building. From there, students will be invited in to take a series of exams which will allow us to see where each student stands in regards to current 8th grade standards. The placement exams will take place from 9am - 11am on Saturday, March 14th. The final phase will be an in person interview. During this time we encourage you to ask questions, explore what we have to offer and even come in to shadow at BAMS.
If you have any questions about the application process or our program please do not hesitate to reach out via email to payton.meadows@bullitt.kyschools.us or stephanie.lewis@bullitt.kyschoools.us
