Guidelines for Videoconferencing, chat and live interactions

Online Classroom Expectations for Students (Teachers please share this information with students)

• Remember, you’re in a classroom, so all behavior expectations apply (language, actions, etc.)

• For any live or video conferencing: Your display name should not include your full name, just first and last initials, (Video conferencing, 3 dots menu , rename)

• Any comments in chat need to be school-appropriate and about our content

• Mute your microphone unless it’s your turn to speak

• “Raise” your hand if you want to ask a question or add a comment

• Everything visible in your camera needs to be school appropriate

• Do not share screenshots of your classmates or teacher

• Tip: Use headphones while you’re on the chat.

*If expectations are not met, your teacher will send you a private message or email and ask you to meet the expectation. If inappropriate behavior continues you will be removed from the meeting and your parent(s) will be notified.
