Investigative Reporting
Collaborative, thorough watch-dog reporting centered on data, research, fair reporting and equity.
This May, I worked freelance for the National Catholic Reporter investigating Boston College's censorship of students advocating for divestment. This was the latest in my continued work and passion investigating major institutions and exeuting it promptly, concisely and accurately.
Through my work with BU Spark! Justice Media Co-Lab and a self-pitched, reported and led six-part series with GOOD Morning Wilton, I have investigated the history of racial injustice in a local Connecticut town, whether equitable construction laws in Boston were being followed by developers and enforced by the government for GBH.
I have also led other journalists and tech teammates as project manager in projects analyzing congressional candidate social media use for USA Today and investigating police overtime pay at Mass and Cass for GBH.
Involved analyzing Boston Construction Hiring Data with Microsoft Excel and Tableau, interviewing, reporting and writing over five months.
A six-part series involving months of research with the historical society, local books and newspaper archives, and extensive interviews with community members.
