Stephanie Edick

Stephanie started dancing at the age of 4 at a local studio in central Connecticut where she studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She attended Assumption College where she was on the dance team for four years of undergrad as well as a 5th year while attending graduate school. She was the captain in her senior and graduate school years. While on the team, she competed at DTU in 2018, where they placed 1st in Open Pom. She has also competed at NDA Collegiate Nationals where the team placed 3rd in DII Pom in 2019. Stephanie has also been an NDA instructor for 5 years.  Stephanie currently works as a 3rd-grade special education teacher in Dorchester, Massachusetts. 

Stephanie has always had a love for dance but upon joining a collegiate dance team,  she was introduced to a whole new world of dance. Dance team is a place of support, growth, and inspiration. Being part of the Boston University Dance Team is one of her proudest accomplishments. 

“I love coaching because I am surrounded by others who share a deep passion for the sport. One thing that sets dance team aside is the bond you have with your teammates. A special relationship is created when you are pushed as mentally and physically as you are in dance team. So often you feel as though you have reached your limit, but that’s just the beginning. Dance team is so much more than dancing. It’s a chosen family. A family that’s dedicated to showing up for oneself and others. Despite all the challenges we face, we face them together head-on. There is nothing we can’t do because we have one another.”
