Unit 2: Fundamentals of Filming

Goals/Objectives:

  • Students will learn specific elements of shooting film, such as:
    • being aware of background
    • using different angles
    • the rule of thirds
    • having a plan (intent, audience, etc.)

Day 1 of unit, Day 5 of class overall (Sept. 4, 2019)

Process p. 12 - 17: Write down 2 tips that make a lot of sense to you and you think you will try to use. Write down 1 tip that you have an issue with or you think might not apply in some circumstances, such as live streaming a sporting event. Discuss.
