In the art enrichment course, you will create dynamic and creative personal journals. Begin your day, creating a journal in which you express aspects of your life through free drawing, collage, paint, photography and writing. A relaxing class designed to boost imagination and creativity and encourage mindfulness and self- confidence.

This Might Get Loud – Battles of the Bands!

Be your experience zero, or hero level, our Battle of the Bands Club gives students the chance to form their own rock band and jam! With 3 specialist teachers on board to help you get started, plus School of Rock equipment, this is your chance to get loud, have fun and become a creative genius of rock-legend status. The program culminates with a Battle of the Bands Concert and an opportunity to record your band’s first single. Don’t be shy, come as you are and leave a much happier and more skilled musician.

Easter Art

The Easter Art Competition is run each year by the Bathurst Diocese. Students will interpret the scriptures and develop a written response to complement their completed art work.

Energy Breakthrough

Year 10 and 11

Students will be learning about the aims of the Energy breakthrough. These include preparing a 20 minute presentation on our 2 entry vehicles, working on preparing the vehicles, learning about riding techniques, racing, strategy, nutrition, mechanics, teamwork, physical fitness, endurance training.

An excellent technology project for students, explores solutions to environmental and transport issues, vehicle design, driving skills and vehicle and passenger safety issues.

Environmental Group

The environmental group is focused on improving the JSCHS environment and environmental impact. Students will work towards raising awareness through writing letters, proposals, grant applications, poster and sign design.



Japanese Club

Enriching your knowledge and appreciation of Japanese language, culture and tradition through the study of Japanese anime, film, folk tales and songs. Also learn about life in Japan while forming friendships with students from our sister city.

Join the JSCHS needle of knitters, where you will learn to cast on while enjoying a great yarn as you knit and purl your skeins into a beautiful creation. Our first project will be knitting squares which will be joined together into blankets which will be donated to people in need.
