Uniform days will always be on Tuesday, unless otherwise mentioned or designated by the SASI. All cadets are required to wear the uniform. The uniform must be worn to standards. If a cadet fails to wear the uniform, they will receive a zero. Failure to wear the uniform weekly may be cause for the cadet to be removed from the corps.
The standard uniform this year will be the Operational Camoflauge Uniform (OCP) and all cadets will be issued that. Cadets who are on the Drill Team and do Color Guards will be issued the Blues uniform also. All cadets will have a polo shirt to wear the polo uniform as required.
The blues uniform items are provided to the cadets at no cost. This uniform consists of pants, a v-neck undershirt, a blue shirt, black socks, a belt, dress shoes, a tie or tie tab, a service coat, a jacket, and a flight cap. The service coat should have a JROTC patch on the shoulder, and will only be worn when service dress is required by the SASI.
The Operational Camoflauge Uniform (OCP) is provided at no cost. This uniform consists of a coyote brown undershirt, an OCP blouse, OCP pants, and boots. Cadets will be issued OCPs at the discretion of the SASI, and can be worn when authorized.
The polo is provided to each cadet at no cost. Cadets are required to purchase their own pants, belt, and shoes as specified for wear in the Cadet Guide.
The Physical Training Uniform (PTU) is also provied to each cadet at no cost. Cadets are required to wear this uniform to their weekly physical fitness class. Cadets are required to wear the proper footwear (athletic shoes) and socks with the PTU.
Quality Dry Cleaners offers discounted rates for the cleaning of AFJROTC uniforms. Cadets are expected to clean their uniforms when needed. While they are not required to use Quality Dry Cleaners, and can take their blues uniforms anywhere to be cleaned, they do offer good rates.
The OCPs, PTUs and polos can be washed and dried at home. This should be done on a regular basis. PTUs especially should be cleaned each week.
The drop down to this page (proper wear) includes Chapter 7 of the AFJROTC Operational Supplement and pictures from this chapter of how to properly to wear the uniform. The Bellbrook Cadet Guide provides specific unit guidance for the polo shirt and awards. The complete Cadet guide can be found on the cadet's JROTC Google Classroom and in the drop down on this website under Home.
