Uniform

Uniform days will always be on Tuesday, unless otherwise mentioned or designated by the SASI. All cadets are required to wear the uniform. The uniform must be worn to standards. If a cadet fails to wear the uniform, they will receive a zero. Failure to wear the uniform weekly may be cause for the cadet to be removed from the corps.

New this year, first year cadets will be given the option to be issued an AFJROTC uniform and conform to stated standards or choose to wear the polo uniform only and experience what AFJROTC is about before making a full committment to the cadet corps.

The uniform:

Cadets will be told at least a week in advance what the uniform will be.  Options include Service Dress, Blues with tie/tie tab, Blues with open collar, Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) or JROTC polos.   First year cadets who choose to opt-out will wear the polo uniform every week.

The blues uniform items are provided to the cadets at no cost. This uniform consists of pants, a v-neck undershirt, a blue shirt, black socks, a belt, dress shoes, a tie or tie tab, a service coat, a jacket, and a flight cap. The service coat should have a JROTC patch on the shoulder, and will only be worn when service dress is required by the SASI.

The Airman Battle Uniform (ABU) is provided at no cost. This uniform consists of a green undershirt, an ABU blouse, ABU pants, and boots. Cadets will be issued ABUs at the discretion of the SASI, and can be worn when authorized.

The polo is provided to each cadet at no cost. Cadets are required to purchase their own pants, belt, and shoes as specified for wear in the Cadet Guide.

Cleaning & wear:

Quality Dry Cleaners offers discounted rates for the cleaning of AFJROTC uniforms, as well as a drop-off and pick-up service . Cadets are expected to clean their uniforms when needed, and should take advantage of this service.
