Hedgehog Jog Fun Run

The Hedgehog Jog is Hawthorne’s annual timed fun run held each fall at Beall Park. As Hawthorne PAC’s largest general-fund fundraiser of the year, students are encouraged to collect sponsorships from family, friends, and their community.

The Jog is more than just a race—it gives students an opportunity to get active, set goals, and learn valuable lessons about healthy living and community support, all while raising funds for PAC-sponsored programs, activities, and materials.

Thanks to the incredible support of our Hawthorne families and staff, the Hedgehog Jog has become one of our most successful and beloved traditions!

PEP RALLY: Kick off Hedgehog Jog season on Friday, September 25 at 8:00 AM on the Hawthorne blacktop!

Come cheer on your classmates and get pumped for the Jog with Champ and the MSU Cheer Squad!

DETAILS FOR HEDGEHOG JOG:

When: Friday, October 2, 2026 (All Day)

Where: Beall Park Lawn

What: The Hedgehog Jog is our annual Fun Run Fundraiser!

Who: All Hawthorne students run at the time slot for their grade! The number of laps they run may determine the amount of money raised (if donors select a “per lap” donation) and also will enter them into the contest to win prizes!

Raising Money For: Extracurricular activities such as field trips, classroom supplies, technology in the classroom, Hawks activities, after school foreign language, teacher appreciation, extra teacher continuing education, the ice rink, and so much more. 

How: Go to this link in 99 pledges to sign up your student(s) for their fundraising page.

• Select your student’s teacher.

• Add a photo and edit the webpage text if you wish. 

• Then send the link to family and friends to get tax-deductible donations that raise funds for Hawthorne. 

It is a great way to help them build school pride! There are prizes for participation and also for most funds raised individually and by class!
