Dual Spouse Rates - If both you and your spouse are benefit eligible Certified or Classified employees, you qualify for the Dual Spouse insurance rates. Please email Alyssa to ensure you are enrolled into these rates if you believe she does not know of your Dual Spouse status or would like the corelating price sheet.
Premium - The monthly amount you pay each month for your health insurance plan. This is a fixed cost no matter the medical care you receive.
Deductible - The amount of medical expense you are responsible for, other than preventive, before the plan begins to pay for services
Out of Pocket Maximum - The total amount of medical expenses you will pay in one plan year.
Co-Pay - A flat rate for a servcie. Example: Going to urgen care is a $75 copay
Coinsurance - Cost sharing between the plan and the member. Example: On the basic $2,000 plan, after the deductible is met, there is a 70/30% coinsurance on medical expenses until the out of pocket maximum is reached
High Deductible Plan - A health insurance plan where the member is responsible for 100% of all diagnostic medical expenses, including pharmacy, until the high deductible is met.
