Directions: Three times a week students are to complete three extra assignments to support growth in the areas of reading, writing, or math. Students can either complete silent reading for 20 minutes using a book of choice (or with a parent / staff) or complete an extra math sheet at 75% or better or complete a writing assignment sheet at 75% or better. If the assignment is completed at home, the student will fill in. In the boxes below including the type of assignment, the date in which it was complete, and a signature of a parent. These sheets completed are worth 9 points a week and due each fifth day week starting September 4th thru the end of the school year (excluding weeks in which holidays or breaks take place).
Student can rummage through the bin labeled “Skill Sheets”to find extra assignments for reading, math or writing or check out a book from the library (hoping to add computer tasks in future as an option).
Students will also have the option to replace one skill sheet with an act of kindness. The student will need to fill out the “description of assignment” by explaining the act of kindness and then discuss the act with Mrs. Czech or Mrs. Olsen. This will result in a signature which will excuse the completion of the skill sheet. Kindness and being kind to one another will be a year long unit which we will be discussing for the 2017-2018 school year.
