About Me:

My name is Issie Ayers and I am a student at Southridge Highschool in the graduating class of 2023. I am in the Health Careers program and am passionate about health care. As a hobby, I prioritize my health and I really enjoy learning about nutrition as I pursue a sustainable and healthy relationship with food. I also prioritize my physical health and have been playing soccer for the better part of my life along with recently experimenting with weightlifting and powerlifting within the last 2 years. My general prioritization of health has sparked my interest in Pediatrics as I would be able to include many aspects of health while developing lasting relationships with patients. I also love to spend my time painting, crocheting, and hanging out with friends!

MY GOALS: As an IBCP student, my goals throughout this two-year program are to enhance my connection with my community and gain experiences in the healthcare field that will prepare me for my chosen career path. I plan on accomplishing these goals by participating in volunteer opportunities that allow me to be involved in human services and healthcare. More specifically, I will volunteer with The American Red Cross and participate in school-related service, likely through Health Careers. My long-term goals are to get my bachelor's degree in science and graduate from medical school to pursue a career in public health.

I have loved playing soccer most of my life, it is a huge part of who I am! This is a picture of my sister and I from a huddle during our senior year. I loved playing soccer at Southridge and have made many friendships through soccer.

I love participating in school spirit activities such as the powder buff football.

I have been working at THPRD as as front desk support, maintenance worker, and class instructor for 2 years and I love getting to participate in the community events. This egg hunt I got to be the Easter bunny!
