For my CTE pathway, I have chosen to go through the Health Career program which is housed at Beaverton High School. For this program, I have completed various certifications and had the opportunity to learn medical terminology as well as common pathology, specialties, and treatment. For this pathway, I also took an Anatomy class which aided in my understanding of health care as anatomy and physiology of the human body are the fundamental concepts. Health Careers 1 was the first year of the program. Advanced Health Careers(AHC) was the second part of the program and was 2 credits (period every day). In AHC I have had the opportunity to complete a Medical Assistant training program through National Healthcareer Association which will be completed this May.
