Understanding the Behavior Incentives at Springhill Elementary:
Eagle Rally - Monthly & Grade Level Reward
This is a time we celebrate many different student achievements.
Student birthdays, classroom habit heroes, students who have completed LIM monthly family challenge, Class Excellence Award, Team Excellence Award, Educator Excellent Award, & Behavior Excellence Grade Level Award (earned the most points during the month.)
Monthly Grade Level Competition
Overview: Throughout the month, students in grades K-2 and grades 3-5 will compete to earn points for their grade levels based on their demonstration of Eagle Excellence Expectations, as outlined in our behavior matrix. This friendly competition promotes positive behavior and teamwork among students.
How It Works:
Earning Points:
Students will receive points when they are observed exhibiting behaviors that align with the Eagle Excellence Expectations.
Points can be earned for actions such as respect, responsibility, and kindness.
Tracking Progress:
Points will be tallied daily and displayed prominently in common areas and announced at SPES morning announcements to encourage friendly rivalry and motivate students.
Monthly Reward:
At the end of the month, the grade level in K-2 and 3-5 with the highest total points will win:
A Principal Party to celebrate their achievements.
An extra 40 minutes of planning time for grade level teachers, allowing them a well-deserved break.
Encouragement & Support:
Teachers are encouraged to celebrate small wins throughout the month, reinforcing positive behaviors.
Classroom discussions can help students understand the importance of the Eagle Excellence Expectations and how they contribute to their grade level’s success.
Let’s work together to foster a supportive and encouraging environment where every student can shine and contribute to their grade level’s achievements! Good luck to everyone!
How your student can earn this reward...
This celebration is designed to reward students who have worked hard over the past nine weeks to demonstrate excellent behavior and leadership skills.
Students who do not receive any minor or major behavior reports and have not visited the Thrive room during this period will earn this special recognition individually.
The Behavior Bash is organized and planned by the principals, and it remains a surprise for the students.
Each quarter, it features exciting activities and memorable experiences, ensuring a fun and engaging celebration for all who qualify!
Let’s keep up the great work!
