From Mr. Arnold:
Hello, families and friends of BMS! Let me officially welcome all the kids and families of BMS back to school and wish you all a great 2025-2026 school year. Though we have been back in the building for nearly seven weeks, it feels like we are still in the very early stages of the year and still in the "get to know you" phase of our school year. I have been in all of our rooms, our halls, at lunch, and outside events. and am very excited about and for our staff and students this year.
During the 2nd week of school, we held an assembly at the stadium with the annual theme of PARTICIPATION. I am a coach, have been a teacher in both school and for youth at church, an athletic administrator, and now serve as an administrator in our 6-12 building, and one constant theme I come back to when thinking about what is good for kids is this: GET INVOLVED IN SOMETHING. Kids who are invovled in clubs, organizations, teams, music groups, etc and who are surrounded by like-minded kids and interested adults are significantly more likely to better in and outside of the school day.
If you look below in the Announcements and News of Interest section, you will see some important dates and events that are coming up soon at BMS.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me or any staff at BMS. We are happy to help in any way we can.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO EVERY DAY AND ALL YEAR TO MAKE THIS A GREAT PLACE TO TEACH FOR THE 6-8 STAFF!
Picture Day has come and gone, but if your student missed or needs a retake, that date will be October 14.
All BMS students are invited to participate in the Pink Out Tailgate prior to the September 26 home HS football game with Evergreen. Encourage your student to wear pink and show up for food, games and fun before the game that night!
BMS will be participating in the 2025 Homecoming dress up days and competing as a grade level for points to be tallied for a reward on the Friday of the game.
Linked above is a PDF of the district calendar for this school year.
The 6-12 event calendar and athletic calendar for grades 6-12 are available as Google Calendars and you can subscribe to stay updated.
Check out all the various calendars on our school website under Calendars.

The Bryan High School Marching Band has been working incredibly hard this fall, putting in countless hours of practice and dedication. By the time of their October 26th concert, the band will have performed an impressive 13 times, showcasing their commitment and talent. Under the direction of Mr. Luthy, along with his dedicated staff assistants, the students have learned multiple songs and field shows that highlight their growth and musical excellence. Leading the way on the field are senior field commanders Noah Mills and Grayson Butler, along with junior field commander Josh Sampson, who have helped guide the band with pride and precision. We are so proud of the band’s accomplishments and can’t wait to see them shine at their upcoming concert.
Congratulations to the following BHS students, who attend Four County Career Center and are actively working in and around the four county area.
Nic Caja, working at Menards Distribution Center
Connor Hogan, working at Schlatter’s Plumbing & Heating
Cody Shaffer, working at Flex-Com Communications
