We had fun joining the three classes together for a valentine pizza craft. The students worked on many skills such as following directions, sharing the materials, communicating with peers and using scissors. Another activity was using watercolor painting to discover the hidden words in their hearts. Students also learned to graph by color using candy conversation hearts.

We celebrated the 100th Day of School in first grade on February 7th. Across First Grade students completed 100 themed activities such as making a 100th day crowns, putting 100 Froot Loops on a necklace, and a STEM project to make a boat that could float with 100 pennies on it. Some classes also brought in 100 items in a water bottle. They had to write clues for their classmates to guess what they brought in.
The first graders celebrated Valentine's Day. Some classes made boxes at home with their families and some classes made bags at school for their Valentine’s. The kids enjoyed sharing cards, playing games, and treats with friends as well as a snack provided by families. The kids also enjoyed doing other fun activities to celebrate kindness and love for their families and friends.
Second graders are working on reading and writing biographies. They love researching and learning about real people.
