Back To School Information for Parents and Students
We are proud to note that this will be BRVGS's 20th year, and while we in BRVGS recognize that this will be an unusual and challenging year for our students and parents, we are committed to doing everything that we can to make it a rewarding and productive year as well! With that in mind, we have combined our back-to-school and orientation information in this website for students and parents. Please see the video from Mr. Carraway, BRVGS Director, for an overview of this site.

BRVGS is pleased to welcome our new students for the 2020-21 school year! We have put together some critical information to orient new students to BRVGS's mission, policies, technology, and other information on "how BRVGS works."
New students and parents should review the information found on the New Student Orientation Page prior to the start of the 2020-21 school year.
BRVGS students and parents are requested to review the BRVGS Student/Parent Handbook each year and to submit a signature form, indicating that they have done so and that they agree to abide by the policies within.
Parents and students will receive emails with links to the Handbook and Form, but may also access them by:
Clicking on the BRVGS Student/Parent Handbook to review BRVGS information and policies.

One thing for parents and students to know about the start of the school year is that BRVGS teachers and staff have been working to put ALL of our course content into readiness for online teaching. Teachers in schools that have in-person learning will have the ability to adjust activities as needed, but BRVGS is committed to having all of our instruction ready to go for those students who opt for online learning this Fall and in case schools need to go all online.
Given that all BRVGS students will start this year on a part-time or fully online basis, BRVGS has been working to prepare all classroom-based courses for full online instruction as needed.
BRVGS students in all grades will be required to review BRVGS instruction on strategies for successful online learning, and to craft an individual plan for successful online learning. BRVGS also recommends that parents review these strategies for online learning as well, and that they help their child to establish and follow those plans as the school year gets underway.
You can see more about BRVGS strategies for online learning by going to the Successful Online Learning Page.
