Homework
Students are expected to use class time effectively to complete assignments, projects, and assessments. If students are unable to finish something, they are expected to finish it at home and have it completed on the due date.
Late Work/ Absences
Students can turn in work anytime within the trimester without any late penalty to their grade. For any type of absence students are expected to make up the work they missed within a week of their return unless there are extenuating circumstances.
Academic Honesty
Honesty is valued and expected. Academic dishonesty can be broken into two categories that include cheating and plagiarism. Cheating is any action that misrepresents your learning or work product. Plagiarism is the wrongful act of using someone else’s words or ideas as your own without giving credit to the author. Major violations of academic honesty such as turning in someone else's work as your own, or copying large amounts of text from another source, will result in a zero on that assignment, as well as an email home and conference with student and parents.
IEPs, 504s and other Accommodations
I comply with all accommodations given in IEPs and 504s. Changes, additions, or deletions are subject to the needs of the student.
