Kindergarten Screening Process

Early January 2025

Kindergarten teachers are in the process of completing planned experiences in the classroom.

Late January 2025

Referral forms with permission to test will be sent home and need to be returned to school prior to any student testing.

February 2025

Kindergarten students will be tested.

Late February 2025

A selection committee will review student testing and make recommendations.

Prior to March 1st

Qualified students will begin G/T services.

January 2025

Testing is in progress.

1st-12th Grade Fall Testing will take place in November and December.

Kindergarten Spring Testing will take place in January and February.

Universal screeners will be administered for all kindergarten and second grade students as well as students participating in planned experiences.

Parents will need to complete the referral/parent permission to test and the parent inventory. Please scan and email the completed forms to angela.fabbiani@brownwoodisd.org or return to your child's school.
