Opportunities for Gifted and Talented Students

Google Classroom

We use Google Classroom to communicate with our 6th-12th grade gifted and talented students. In Google Classroom we share and ask students to share. The following are some of the items you may see:

request that students upload projects completed in an honor's class, dual credit course, or even an elective class
request that students document information such as listing advanced classes, leadership involvement, awards-this will be in a google form
we can upload video clips, podcasts, articles, etc. addressing neurodiversity and social and emotional learning

ADVANCED STUDIES

Students are encouraged to participate in advanced studies where teachers with GT training provide opportunities for critical thinking and advanced level projects. Students may also participate in UIL events.

DIFFERENTIATION

Teachers facilitate learning through varied strategies as well as offering choices based on learning styles and abilities. Please reach out to Ms. Fabbiani if you have specific needs that you would like addressed.

SUPPORT

Specialists monitor and evaluate projects through Google Classroom. They may provide additional project ideas for students who have special interests or need additional acceleration.

ENRICHMENT

Brownwood Middle School has a variety of alternatives for electives and leadership opportunities.
