I received this announcement recently. This looked particularly interesting for students who might want to go to Wisconsin for the summer.
Applications are now open for the Psychology Research Experience Program (PREP) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison: https://psych.wisc.edu/nsf-reu-site-psychology-research-experience-program/
The Psychology Research Experience Program (PREP) provides intensive mentoring and experience in scientific research and professional development to rising junior and senior undergraduate students with a demonstrated interest in a career in psychological research.
In particular, a primary objective of our program is to provide this research experience to students who would not otherwise have the opportunity. Students from historically underrepresented backgrounds, low-income households, first-generation college students, and students affected by documented disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply, as are students from smaller institutions without broad research facilities.
PREP is unique in that we have a focus on integrating principles and methods of data science into the study of psychology and neuroscience. The program features a balance of mentored laboratory research (approximately 30 hours/week), alongside: intensive “bootcamps” on technical skills (e.g., R and Python programming), faculty presentations, professional development and networking opportunities (approximately 10 hours/week).
