Directions to Brown
Departing from Boston
If you traveling from Boston, Providence is approximately a 1-hour drive. You can also buy a train ticket on either Amtrak or the MBTA.
Departing from New York City
If you are traveling from New York City, Providence is approximately a 3.5-hour drive. You can also buy a train ticket on Amtrak.
Event Locations
School of Professional Studies
The event takes place at Brown University's School of Professional Studies. Our location is 225 Dyer Street, Providence, RI 02903. The building is a 7 story new-build right across the street from the pedestrian bridge. Come into the ground floor lobby and take the elevator to the 5th floor. Our staff will greet you through the double glass doors.
Aloft Hotel; Providence Downtown
Located at 191 Dorrance Street, Providence, RI 02903 ,The Aloft/Marriott is a boutique hotel right in the heart of the Jewelry District and adjacent to Brown's School of Professional Studies. All of the JSW participants are staying at this brand new hotel with modern amenities including a rooftop restaurant overlooking the city of Providence. The welcome dinner and reception will be hosted at the XYZ Bar on the hotel's ground floor.

Eating is not permitted in the classrooms -- discreet sipping of beverages is permitted.
Dress Code
The weather in New England in April can be unpredictable. Be sure to have appropriate outerwear especially, for the campus tour. If you are taking part in the planned College Hill campus tour, please be sure to have comfortable shoes. Casual attire is the general dress code for this residential session but please be sure to bring business attire for the group photo and farewell dinner.

The RISD Museum acquires, preserves, exhibits, and interprets works of art and design representing diverse cultures from ancient times to the present. It houses about 100,000 objects, ranging from ancient art to work by contemporary artists and designers from across the globe.
